At Speakersmic we pride ourselves on our security precautions. Every page you visit on our website that asks you to input information, or displays your personal data is always protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL). SSL is an encryption protocol that establishes a secure connection between your computer and our server. SSL is also used by your browser to verify who you are communicating with, preventing your connection from being redirected. You should never enter personal information on any website unless you trust the company, and you can see https:// in the address bar. (not http://) You will also get a padlock icon somewhere on your browser, either next to the address bar, or in the bottom right corner of the browser window. Currently we use 128-bit encryption which means 128 characters are used to generate the encryption key.
All Sponsors which take advantage of our Extended Marketing Services, and host a secure registration system or catalog, on our servers will have access to the same level of encryption and the data collected will be treated with the same care we take with our own. We respect your privacy, and the privacy of your customers. That's why we never share or sell any part of the information we gather.
We consider your archived programs, DVD, CD-ROM, and PDF materials to be very valuable property and we safeguard them accordingly. All downloads and views are tracked and the user's IP address is recorded. Access is provided via a download link sent by email after purchase of an archived program. The link allows the download of the file or files from an otherwise protected directory. The links are dynamically generated, and they expire within a preset number of downloads or a designated time period.
