Speaker Tools
First time Speakersmic
presenters are asked to complete our Speaker
Profile in addition to the Pre-Program Survey. The Speaker Profile
asks for your contact information, equipment specifications, and
Speaker bio and picture, if applicable. First time presenters are
asked to participate in an orientation prior to the progam. You
will be contacted by your program coordinator to schedule an orientation.
For all programs we
ask that you complete a short survey prior to each program unless
other arrangments are made. Complete the Pre-Program
Survey to help Speakersmic understand how you want to present
your program. This enables us to provide equipment and technical
assistance to you, and provide your audience with any special instructions
for achieving maximum benefit from the program.
Materials
for distribution
to attendees are posted on a secure site. Each registered connection
receives an e-mail with instructions for accessing the materials.
Access to the materials is controlled by use of a user name and password. If your presentation includes a slide
show that is different from your written materials, we recommend
that you also make the slides available for download by your audience.
With your permission Speakersmic will convert them to PDF for audience
download.

Being one of Multiple Speakers for
a program can mean you are:
on a panel
of speakers each with an alloted time to speak and the others
muted,
one of several
speakers with an open mic and each able to speak at any time,
the primary
speaker with one or more persons available to answer questions,
one of several
speakers designated to take the mic when called upon, or
one of two
speakers with a scripted presentation.
In each of these
instances it is the responsibility of the speakers to divide the
forum. Most anything is possible. Speakersmic needs to know how
the speakers' air time should be managed. The Pre-Program
Survey asks for details. Each Speaker needs to complete a Speaker
Profile, and one Speaker should be designated to complete the Pre-Program Survey.
